ROAD TRIP!

Going for a wee trip round the north coast of Scotland for a few days! Hopefully I'll come back inspired and with plenty of photos :) Looking to design a new bag for spring/summer, something funky and for tartan. . .

4 bag sales!

I haven't blogged in a while but thought I'd share my delight in my 4 sales on etsy yesterday!! Wooh! I'm almost at 30 sales now, but if you include sales outwith etsy and from the gallery I'm doing pretty ok. Working from home is proving to be the best thing I've ever done.

Hello Etsy Lovers!

Is anyone out there in love with etsy right now? I've sold two dresses and quite a few bags in the last fortnight and I'm loving it. All the etsians are so friendly and helpful and very very very creative - it's such an encouraging place to be.

I've had a couple requests for tartan bags (see fergus above) so I'll be making a few more of them in the next little while. Along with that I'll be sourcing new jersey jumpers to make the upcycled dress from because the first customer loved hers so much. I made it in a caramel colour and she looks fab in it. Its such a comfortable dress I never thought to wear it with heels but in her 'appreciation photo' she has matching caramel heels on and it looks great: elegant and uber-comfy - what more could you want!?

Winter Comfort

The snow the other day inspired me to make a warm jersey dress for winter that I can wear with my new boots (which should be arriving in the post any day now - yay) and bright tights. It has pockets and everything!!

I loved it so much I thought I should share it with the world and sell some on Etsy.

In doing this I realised how much more I love making clothes than bags and hopefully I'll be making a lot more for Etsy in future.

What do you think of the dress? I think it could do with a flower brooch around the neckline or even a whole gathering of them - any ideas?

I've started out on etsy.com, it's a fab website where crafters and designers of all shapes and sizes can sell their work.

It's great also for the community aspect of it as you can chat and join forums with others, but considering more than half of the members live in America they're awake when I'm asleep and I'm asleep when they're awake it's not my favorite area.

Having said that though it is quite funny joining chats at 10 in the morning here when it is some hideous hour of the night there and they are all telling amusing nonsensical anecdotes. he he :)
